A bit about me

Kristina Tannenbaum is a doctoral candidate (ABD) at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Her research area of expertise is in Asian theatre with a particular focus on Southeast Asian theatre.

Her dissertation research focuses on the production of historical and contemporary shadow puppets in the Central Javanese theatre form, wayang kulit. She completed her dissertation research with help from a Fulbright Student Award. 

Other areas of interest include East Asian theatre, Asian puppetry, costuming, Russian theatre, and theatre house management.
